A Quite Rainy Day (Sunday 9.8.2013)

For a second day, we pretty much all mooched around town looking for new things to explore.  Most everything is closed on Sundays, so it was a pretty quiet day of walking about.  It rained on and off from about noon on, so lots of time was spent around the house.

Nita and I had a nice lunch at the river, our first oysters and seafood of the trip!  Gary did more painting by the river while Mom and Joanie went up THE HILL(tm) to look for dinner supplies.  Being Sunday, even the grocery stores were closed so we made due with what we had on hand.

For our evening meal we made a quick quiche of leeks, onion, zucchini and comte' cheese on a darn nice crust Nita made by hand.  Teamed up with a fresh salad, and lots of rose' it was another superb time around the table.

After dinner, Gary and I sat out front of the house and took in the night scenery.  It gets spooky quiet when all the tourists are gone and the shops close up for the evening.  Easy to start seeing things in the shadows...
